Presentation

Established in 1980, Homy Quimica started out of passion for chemistry and innovation. With headquarters located 20 km from Ribeirão Preto, on Rodovia Anhanguera  km 327.8, its plants currently have the capacity to produce 5,000 million liters of chemical formulas in specific mixes and reaction and synthesis, that caters the need for various fields: from agribusiness to plants and distillery, from healthcare to education, from metallurgical and steel industry to paving, building and construction companies, from
car assembly plants to authorized dealers.

The capacity to innovate is in our essence. Therefore, we count on a Research and Development Laboratory responsible for designing new products and improving the ones already on the market, according to our clients’ needs and market opportunities. The technical body responsible for this area is made up of highly qualified professionals with impeccable résumés in the chemistry field. Homy Química also works  in partnership with professors, researchers and renowned Brazilian universities, with the objective of integrating the scientific knowledge to the business market, in order to stimulate the generation of value to the company, the improvement of people’s life quality and environmental conservation.

Certifications and Registrations

Our commitment to quality is certified. We have ISO 9001 fully established, covering all our processes. It includes the development of suppliers, full analysis of all raw material which comprise our products, and a checklist of product dispatch, which evaluates the conditions of the companies in charge of our deliveries.

It is important to highlight that all products made by Homy Quimica are properly regularized according to the applicable legislation. For instance, all products that compose the Industrial Division and are not subject to registration or notification at ANVISA (Brazilian National Health Surveillance Agency) are only commercialized properly accompanied by the Emergency Form (when necessary) and FISPQ’s which fully meet NBR 14725/01. The cleaning or cosmetic products are always properly registered and notified at ANVISA, according to their classification.

Quality Policy
Homy Química has a commitment to quality and constant improvement of our products and our production processes of chemical formulations. Hence, we invest in new products development, in our collaborators’ qualification, in our suppliers’ development and  the maintenance of the management system efficacy, meeting our clients’ expectations and needs.

Environmental Responsibility
Homy Química is concerned with the environmental matters and attentive to its responsibility towards the entire community. Our company is implementing the Environmental Quality Management System, as well as annually assessing all its production conditions, hiring external Occupational Health and Safety Engineers for audits. We commission reports on Working Conditions and Selective Waste Collection. We firmly believe that it is possible to produce without harming the environment. Therefore, we have an Effluent Treatment Plant approved by CETESTB and running in closed circuit, which means we do not dump any waste at nature. Instead, we recycle the water used in our processes and all the residues are safely eliminated.

We develop our products considering the health of the people who will be in contact with them. The result is less toxic chemical solutions, which preserve the end users’ health. We also provide complete information about the adequate personal protective equipment (PPE) and documentation which allow the action of those in charge of Safety and Health in case of eventual emergencies.

Environmental Policy
Homy Química determines as one of its priorities the respect for the environment and society. For that, it adopts preventive measures for natural resources’ protection, for pollution control and for the safe transportation of chemical products, aiming to meet the legislation and environmental norms and, as a consequence, contributing to its collaborators’ and the entire community’s well-being.

Social responsibility is held in high regard in our company. We play an active role in the Cancer Prevention Campaign, the Anti-Dengue Campaign, the Vector Control Campaign and in 2004 we founded, along with four other companies, an institution to care for children and adolescents: PROMAR - Projeto Marcenaria da Música (Music Woodwork Project). The main aim of this organization  is to provide learning opportunities in various areas and foster children and adolescents’ rights, contributing to a better society.
